Boston Manor, Palladium Cologne, 05.02.2019

When a pop-punk band plays a concert in Cologne, they often meet in the audience the usual suspects. On 05.02.2019, however, only very few pop-punk fans decided on the show of Boston Manor in the Palladium, because in neighboring Club Volta there was strong competition from the friendly The Wonder Years . Also our editor Luis – like many others – decided on the rival event (you can find his report here). That was not so much the respective bands, but mainly because of Boston Manor on 05.02. not as a headliner but only as a support act of Good Charlotte based in Cologne. This also resulted in a somewhat overblown ticket price of around fifty euros.

Already in 2016, singer Henry Cox told us in an interview that he used to like going to concerts and raging in the moshpit. In Cologne, instead, Boston Manor swirled across the stage of the rather crowded Palladium and powered up completely. They did not notice that they were only the opening act that evening! Unfortunately, since the pop-punk band released their second album “Welcome To The Neighborhood” last summer, they have not returned to Germany. That was particularly sad because the new record, which deals with the life and problems in a small English town, has become an absolute masterpiece and urgently deserves its own tour!

At the end of her unfortunately However, Boston Manor said goodbye to only seven song sets saying they would return to Germany for more shows later this year. We promise to tell you more about it in more detail – until then, we present instead some photos of their support show, which made as a successful reunion much desire for the new tour dates.

So that sounds like:
